Auto increment in GV and Reportviewer starting at 1

In reportviewer add a col in report and set it as =Rownumber(Nothing)
no need to add the primary key col cause it starts from 0.
In reportviewer add col based on PRIMARY KEY of the table which will create an auto increment col. For it to start at one open code of xsd file and add msdata:AutoIncrement="1 in

Selecting NULLS in reportviewer individual textbox fields

In order to eliminate 0 in integer fields and 01 jan 1900 in datetime fields that are gathered from the objectdatasource select statement, we set reportviewer textbox field expression as:

adding parameters in reportviewer

make sure to add parameters by selecting the xsd and then looking at the properties of DataTableAdapter. Choose the dots on Parameters in properties and add a new one making sure AllowDBNULL = true, providertype = nvarchar, dbtype=string.

I delete all of Temporary Asp files on : C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files
and then ( optional ) you can delete you user Temporary Internet Files on : C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\temporary internet files
base solution : put these line of code to your web.config file

INSTRUCTIONS: PUBLISH WEBSITE to DLLs / OBFUSCATOR to protect code

Publish into DLL
use vs 2008 or 2005 (not VWD) and use menu command Build -> Publish website command.
Run it two times if fails.
-uncheck "allow this precompiled site to be updatable"
-check "use fixed naming and single..."
-usually published in directory e.g C:\Documents and Settings\sh\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\Lungar Project Website\PrecompiledWeb\Lungar Project Website
-make that after publish you copy all report files as is in the published compiled directory because reports dont seem to run in dlls.
-also copy reportviewer files (dlls) into code directory.

Putting image in reportviewer, issues regarding sizing

-keep width of 1024 pixels in paint.net image dimensions
-make sure to select top report menu and embed again
-set Sizing property of image to Autosize preferably
-if in doubt use http://auctionrepair.com/pixels.html to convert image to pixels and vice versa

inserting image in reportviewer

put it in report header
select top menu report, choose embedded images, add the image by browsing.
drop the image control onto the header from the toolbox
set image control property Source=Embedded and select the picture name in the dropdownlist of property Value.
